Interpretation of German songs is often regarded as a sophisticated task by professional singers. Based on a highly developed singing technique advanced knowledge and experience about musical and stylistic issues as well as performance practice are required to facilitate a natural and intensive interpretation. This workshop gives the opportunity to share the extensive presenters’ experience in this field as a singer and teacher. Details of the practical work in interpretation of “Das deutsche Lied” will be demonstrated.
