General Information
This session is one section of a two year project awarded to the European Voice Teachers Association under the sponsorship of the Leonardo da Vinci Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Union.
Aims and Goals
The basic premise of the overall project remains our desire to promote excellence in vocal teaching by sharing our teaching experience, learning from each other, and opening doors to new ways of thinking and working. Nothing will be a substitute for good teaching. Voice research has already played a major role in changing vocal pedagogy by objectifying much of our knowledge about the singing instrument. Digital technology also offers resources that can enhance many facets of our profession. These two developments necessitate the convergence of voice science, traditional vocal pedagogy and digital tools into new methods appropriate to the 21st century. This seminar will concentrate on bridging the gap between voice science and vocal pedagogy.
